This is a manifesto.
SHAKESPEARE İS NOT BORİNG!!!
This idea has been unconsciously inherited, contracted by people who never watch or read Shakespeare because they heard “it is boring” and unfortunatelly they will forward it to their succesors.
İt goes so far that todays in a school book the name of Shakespeare is associated with a bored face!
The perpetuation of this idea must stop!
SHAKESPEARE İS NOT BORİNG!
Can be difficult to read, yes but Shakespeare didn’t write for reading (he would be a novelist) .
Shakespeare wrote THEATRE. Theatre is representation.
Can be hard to understand, yes but if you go to theatre and you come back more confused is not Shakespeare’s fault. The approaching of the text can be boring or confused or hard to understand (in the name of the art).
Shakespeare wrote for everybody from the poorest up to the Queen.
Shakespeare must go back to people because Shakespeare belongs to people!
We are artists and we don’t want to speak against theatre as an art against the way artists are expressing themselves.We don’t want to educate the public even.
We want to discover and rediscover tools which will bring people closer to this huge source of knowledge because

The project "POWERED BY SHAKESPEARE" is going on.
We Will bring an incontestable gift named Shakespeare .
İt is for people of İstanbul (and not only).
We Will study the whole opera of Great Will and we Will share it with You, the Big Public.
We are searching for methods to bring Shakespeare directly to people, to convince them that he has the knowledge of life, of today's life, that Hamlet is walking on İstanbul's streets, that our society continue to produce Romeos and Juliets, that Richard III is talking for us at TV.
Do you think Katarina is in every woman, more or less adicted to traditional conventions?
Or Othello? Can be one of you? We read in the newspapers...
Did it ever happened to you to believe in fairies?
Which is the border between dream and reality?
Here is a direct conexion between You and Shakespeare, between you and life.
WE are making it.
We have been started already.
The people who have seen "Shakespeare'in Gücündendir" understand.
This was just the first step.
We are going on.
We are powered by Shakespeare.
